Paul Watts

Paul Ruben Watts, age 92, of Fayette, died July 6, 2010, at home. Services will be 11a.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home Chapel with David Sanderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell-Rosehill Cemetery with Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Fulmer Watts; and parents, James Thomas Watts and Florence Moon Watts.

He is survived by his daughter, Nellie Jane Watts Farley of Fayette; sons, Ronald W. Watts and Raymond O. Watts, both of Fayette; and seven grandchildren.

Paul was born in Clay County in 1918, and moved to Cullman County in 1925. He married Mae on September 20, 1941, and moved to Fayette County in 1946. Paul worked for the Fayette County School System as a custodian and school bus driver from 1956 until he retired in 1983. He lived at the home where he died since 1948.

Pallbearers will be Chris Farley, Jeff Farley, Chris Sides, Brent Watts, Olan Fields and Eddie Fields.

Honorary pallbearers are Glenn Watts and Eric Farley.
