Amanda Atkins Porter

Amanda Atkins Porter, age 23, of Houston, Miss., formerly of Millport, died February 24, 2013, at home.  Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Pickens County.  Visitation will be Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.


Amanda was the granddaughter of Lowell and Jewel H. Atkins and the daughter of the late Ricky Atkins.

She was preceded in death by her father; Ricky Atkins.
