Christine McKay Bailey

Christine McKay Bailey, age 77, of Fayette, died May 26, 2013, at home.  Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel (Reform). Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Lawrence, Floyd, Rudolph, Howard, and Elbert Carpenter; and her sister, Margie White.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Bailey of Fayette, Ala.; daughter, Susie Hamby and husband Robert of Reform, Ala.; stepdaughter, Charlotte Stewart (Frank); stepsons, Steve Bailey (Debbie) and Paul D. Bailey (Tammie); sister, Dean Walker of Gordo, Ala.; brother, Jim Carpenter (Jackie) of South Bend, Ind.; one grandchild, Brandi Allen (Jerry Bankston) of Reform, Ala.; three step-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Debbie Costantino, Dedra Rushing, Linda Hall, Tina Hunnicutt, Benda Miner, Geneva Franks, Barbara Voegele and Terrie Flippo.

Mrs. Bailey was born January 31, 1936, in Reform, Alabama to the late Oscar Carpenter and Luella Atkins Carpenter. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Fayette, a retired ALFA Insurance agent and a well known resident of Pickens County.
